Safety and Support

Everyone deserves to be safe, supported and respected at the University of Iowa. We recognize that all of us—students, faculty, staff, and other members of our community—can only achieve our best in a safe, healthy, and inclusive environment.

The UI has a number of resources that can help address a wide range of concerns—from personal safety to academic or employment issues:

The university's Office of the Sexual Misconduct Response Coordinator (OSMRC) provides information about reporting options, resources, and referrals in cases of sexual assault, sexual harassment, stalking, and domestic violence. A comprehensive list of resources and options for victim/survivors can be found on the OSMRC's website.
