Service is a significant part of the undergraduate experience for many UI students:  56% of SERU respondents indicated that they participated in volunteering or community service during the current academic year.

A subset of 2151 respondents (11% of degree-seeking undergraduates) received additional questions that asked for further details about their service experiences.  Recipients of these questions were a randomly selected, representative cross-section of UI undergraduates.  This report provides a summary of their perceptions of civic engagement and a list of organizations where they volunteered.
