Marissa is an undergraduate student double majoring in Social Work and Gender, Women’s and Sexuality Studies. She is also in the Critical Cultural Competency Certificate program and the honors program. Marissa’s passion lies with social justice, and she specifically loves advocating for Queer justice. She’s very involved at the Women’s Resource and Action Center, and she is also part of the Social Justice and Diversity committee in the Social Work building. Marissa embraces her “tree-hugger” label, and she’s crazy about recycling and making kombucha. You can usually find her under a tree, at a nearby coffee shop or powerwalking to class because she’s always running JUST a tad behind.
