In January 2017, the Academic Organizational Structure 2020 Task Force was charged with conducting a study of the University of Iowa's academic organizational structure, with the goal of helping the UI become a more forward-looking, nimble university that focuses our limited resources in support of academic excellence.

Phase I of the initiative — in which the task force gathered information about current academic structures and collected input regarding future possibilities — took place during spring and summer 2017.  Phase II continued through 2018.  The Phase II committee facilitated broad campus engagement by conducting open forums, individual and group meetings, and by soliciting input from various on- and off-campus stakeholders to generate ideas to help optimize our academic reorganization.  Follow the link below to read the Phase II Final Report.
